When you message a Poo Squad Facebook Page or Instagram account, Facebook sends us the message, any photos you attach, your name as it appears on Facebook or Instagram, and an ID that Facebook assigns for that conversation. We keep them in the inbox of the Poo Squad location that owns the page so that the location can read and answer them. If you delete an Instagram message, we delete our copy too.

Payment Information

This website does not collect or store payment card numbers. Billing is handled by the scheduling and billing provider your local Poo Squad location uses, which processes billing details and payment transaction information on our behalf.

News and offers are separate and optional. On our forms, getting news and offers by email and getting them by text are each their own box, left unticked unless you tick it, and neither is a condition of buying anything. We keep a record of when and where you opted in and the wording you agreed to. Replying STOP ends offers by text, and the link in any of our emails ends offers by email.

Poo Squad provides service through local locations. When you request a quote or service, your request is routed to the Poo Squad location that serves your address so that it can contact you and provide the service.

  • Payment processing
  • Customer service
  • Scheduling and dispatch systems
  • Messaging platforms (text message and email delivery, and Meta for Facebook and Instagram messages)

Maps and Location Search

Our locations page shows a map provided by OpenStreetMap, and each location's page shows an embedded Google map of its area. Loading either map sends your IP address and browser details to that provider (OpenStreetMap or Google), as loading an image from any other website does, and Google may set its own cookies under its privacy policy. If you search by city name, the text you type is sent to OpenStreetMap's search service to find that place.

If you choose "Use my location," your browser asks your permission first. With it, your approximate position (rounded to about a tenth of a mile) is used only to find the nearest Poo Squad team. We do not save it.

Connected Social Accounts (Poo Squad Location Owners)

This section applies only to Poo Squad location owners and staff who connect a business account to the Poo Squad admin, not to our customers or website visitors.

When you connect a Facebook Page, an Instagram business account, or a Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram or Google sends us an access token and basic account details: the page, account, or business profile names and IDs, and the name and ID of the person who connected them. We store access tokens encrypted and use them only to publish your location's posts and updates that you can review or skip beforehand, to read back the links to those posts, and to receive and answer the Facebook and Instagram messages customers send your page or Instagram account in your location's inbox. We do not read your followers or your personal profile or messages, and we never sell or share this information.

Removing a connection in the admin deletes its tokens and account details from our systems. You can also revoke access at any time in your Facebook, Instagram or Google account settings. To ask us to delete this data, see our data deletion instructions or email the address below.
